We invite you to deepen your contribution during UPLIFT Women's Skillshare through a work-trade commitmentYour hours of service are exchanged for access to classes & activities offered during the event. If you are accepted and choose to commit to the position, we ask worktrade sisters to pay a $100 nonrefundable deposit to cover the costs of nourishment & accommodation at Morningstar Farm. 

Worktrade application –has been extended– until March 14, 2017. We will respond to your application no later than March 18. If your application is not a match for our available work-trade positions, you will have the option to join us as an attendee with registration opening on March 20, 2017. 

Your commitment as a sister in service will span the length of the event, perhaps extending beyond the event window (see below for more details). Your responsibilities may overlap with some of the skillshare offerings.


We are seeking Worktrade positions for the following roles



Nourishment <<< This position is TENTATIVELY FULL, apply to be put at the top of our waitlist. >>> One sister for the May 5-7th session to assist in meal preparation and tidying up after meals. 

Position requirements: Have a passion for, and experience in cooking for large groups. Professional kitchen experience a bonus, but not necessary. Excited to rise early in the morning; ability to receive direction and act intuitively; ability to be punctual is crucial. Willingness to correspond and team with Sisters of the Tide before the event for planning purposes; ability to balance your time during the retreat as an active participant and sister of service in the kitchen. Willingness to arrive one day early (Thursday) to help with preparations and stay through Monday morning to help with closing.


Event Photography <<< This position is TENTATIVELY FULL, apply to be put at the top of our waitlist. >>> One sister for each session (April 28-30 & May 5-7) to document the event through a photographic lens. 

Position requirements: Have experience in event photography; provide an online image portfolio for reference; Capable of uploading files to private online album and sharing access to Sisters of the Tide and event participants; Ability to balance your time during the retreat as event photographer and active participant; Provide a minimum of 75 quality images in high-resolution (.jpg format) that showcases a wide-range of event activities; Ability to photograph in low-light environments; Ability to respond to a file turnaround of no longer than one month after the retreat or agreed upon timeline.
