SISTER IN SERVICE

Nourishment for May Session

While CAITLIN's grandmother, Ruth, instilled a love of growing vegetables in coastal Massachusetts, it was the four years Caitlin spent at the Bullocks' Permaculture Homestead that cemented her passion to create the conditions for deeply nourishing food to happen. After graduating from the Homestead, Caitlin formed an edible landscaping business and became a founding member of Orcas Community Participatory Agriculture. Through both of these forums, she is able to pursue her love of pruning and building soil health. Caitlin also helps to steer the ship of the Orcas Women’s Coalition, a recently-formed activism group. She currently lives in Eastsound with her husband, Zackarya, on a budding "rural urban homestead.
